State Grid: A Charging And Switching Standard System With Chinese Characteristics Has Been Establish

[cable network news] on the 18th, the State Grid announced that it had built a charging and switching standard system with Chinese characteristics and the world's widest charging service network. This year, the State Grid Corporation of China will complete the expressway fast charging network of "nine vertical, nine horizontal and two ring roads" to further meet the cross city travel needs of electric vehicle users.

In fact, among the many factors that promote the development of electric vehicle industry, the charging pile as infrastructure plays a vital role. For many consumers, whether the charging facilities are complete has always been their concern: on the one hand, electric vehicles dare not leave the city, on the other hand, the use experience of electric piles is not good.

Some car owners complain that it is difficult to find a charging parking space, or it may not be able to use it after finding a charging parking space. In addition, in the process of use, many charging cards will be handled or many apps will be downloaded, which is more troublesome for users.

On November 30, 2015, the "smart car networking" platform of State Grid Corporation of China was launched. At present, the total number of charging piles connected to the platform exceeds 167000. Wang Yanfang, spokesman of the State Grid Corporation of China, said that the platform can access more than 800000 charging piles and serve more than 3 million users at the same time.

Wang Yanfang said that since 2006, the "six vertical, six horizontal and two ring" expressway fast charging network has been built, covering 16 provinces and 121 cities. The average distance between expressway fast charging stations shall not exceed 50km.

In the report of global electric vehicle development index in the second quarter of 2017 released by Roland Berger, a world-renowned strategic management consulting company, China ranked first in the world in the electric vehicle development index for the first time. Industry insiders believe that China's electric vehicles are "counter attacking". At the same time, this also puts forward higher requirements for the charging network. By the end of last year, China had nearly 1 million new energy vehicles, 150000 public charging piles and 80000 special charging piles, which is equivalent to sharing one charging pile for every four vehicles. Wang Kefeng, deputy general manager of BAIC new energy vehicles, believes that the follow-up of charging facilities is undoubtedly good news for new energy vehicle R & D enterprises.

Wang Kefeng said: "In principle, we certainly welcome the charging network. The more we build, the better. It is certainly helpful for everyone to charge. Charging is relatively convenient in Beijing, but there are two problems. On the one hand, there are layout problems. On the other hand, it may mean that the utilization rate or good rate of equipment is relatively low, so there are many problems now. Therefore, we certainly hope to spread the charging network as widely as possible in the future."

According to the plan of the State Grid, 120000 charging piles will be built by 2020, and the intercity fast charging network will cover all cities in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong and the Yangtze River Delta, as well as 36000 kilometers of expressways. In the city, the rapid charging of electric vehicles with a radius of no more than 5km in suburban counties and 1km in urban areas is basically realized.

The Chinese market has become one of the most important markets for new energy vehicles in the world. From the lack of charging piles, electric vehicle owners "mileage anxiety" dare not go out of the city, to the fast charging network that can charge 50 kilometers now, the fast construction speed of charging piles is bound to accelerate the sharp rise in the future purchase of electric vehicles.

At present, many EU countries have plans to completely ban the sale of fuel vehicles in 2040, 2030 and even 2025. It is necessary to plan and layout charging facilities in advance.

From the birth of the charging pile, it has its own "shared" physique. From the construction lag at one time to the moderate advance at present, and then to the "explosive" growth in the future, how much should be built is not called "excessive"? This is a magnet in front of policy guidance. What is the market share of new energy vehicles in the future? How many charging piles need to be matched to meet the demand without wasting resources. We should also consider carefully.

No matter electric vehicles or charging piles, they should eventually go to the market. Where there is a market, we should be careful to prevent the random entry of capital. Only by paying close attention to both supply and demand can we avoid profit and loss.
