With the rapid increase of population in large and medium-sized cities, subway has become an important means of transportation for people to travel, and the safe operation of subway has attracted more and more attention from all walks of life. The relevant person in charge of the International Copper Association said that the copper cable is willing to help China's subway construction.  

Subway is an electric train with electric traction, and its power source is electric energy. In addition, to ensure the normal operation of the subway, lighting, ventilation, communication and other facilities are also needed, which are inseparable from electric energy. Therefore, safe and reliable power supply is an important prerequisite for the normal operation of the subway.  

At present, copper cable has attracted more and more attention because of its excellent performance. Copper has a large current carrying capacity, which can better load the huge power consumption of the subway to meet the power demand of trains and supporting facilities. In addition, in the process of subway operation, stopping and approaching the station need to be started and stopped repeatedly. This impact power load has a certain test on the cable, while the copper cable has stronger adaptability to the frequently changing current and can withstand this impact load better.  
 

In the power supply system of subway, the cable is generally long, which inevitably leads to voltage drop and heating consumption of electric energy. Cable heating is easy to cause loose joints, which is also a major hidden danger of fire. Under the same circumstances, the selection of copper cable can reduce the line heating, improve the power efficiency and reduce the risk of equipment damage.

The laying and maintenance of Metro cables are in the tunnel, with narrow space and complex environment. The performance requirements of cables should be higher. Copper cable has good flexibility, stability and strong fatigue resistance, and is suitable for complex and diverse environments.
